The term “Ohana” originates from Hawaii and its meaning is the foundation on which Ohana Pediatrics is built upon.
Ohana extends beyond our immediate family members. It also includes our friends, colleagues, neighbors, and anyone else who is special in our lives.
Hi! I’m Dr. John Pham, MD, FAAP
BOARD-CERTIFED PEDIATRICIAN AND THE FOUNDER OF OHANA PEDIATRICS
In addition to seeing patients at Ohana Pediatrics, I’m also an attending physician at Torrance Memorial Medical Center and Little Company of Mary where I provide care for newborns.
It’s an honor to be listed in the 2023-2026 Super Doctors of Southern California and I’m grateful to be a member of the South Bay community.

Ohana Pediatrics was created on the belief that every child deserves compassionate, comprehensive, personalized medical care.
Our goal is to empower children to grow up healthy, happy, and with the tools they need to succeed and reach their full potential.
We believe this can be achieved through a family-centered approach by partnering with families to provide the highest quality of care.
By taking the time to understand the unique needs of each child, we can address all aspects of their health and wellness including their physical, emotional, developmental, and intellectual needs.

More About Dr. Pham

Dr. Pham Graduated magna cum laude from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, where he received numerous awards for his academic excellence and clinical research.
Dr. Pham returned to the west coast for the opportunity to train at one of the top-ranked programs in the nation for his pediatric internship and residency, Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

Dr. Pham received additional training in subspecialty and emergency pediatrics during his time at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and has extensive experience providing care for patients with complex medical conditions.
He has worked closely with numerous lactation consultants and is committed to helping mothers reach their breastfeeding goals.
Dr. Pham is also passionate about international medical outreach and has had the opportunity to work with families in Jamaica, Ethiopia, Colombia, and Israel.
Prior to settling down in South Bay, Dr. Pham was working in private practice in Beverly Hills, CA.

Dr. Pham was born and raised in Oregon.
Dr. Pham's journey to becoming a Pediatrician began at a young age. His admiration for a child's unbounded imagination and eagerness to learn led him to volunteering as a hip hop dance instructor, camp counselor in Japan, and mentor for the Boys & Girls Club.
Through these experiences, Dr. Pham developed his passion for working with children and adolescents.
Coordinating various avenues for children to express their creativity has shown Dr. Pham the important role of music, art, and dance in a child's development and is something he encourages for his patients.

Outside of the office, Dr. Pham enjoys spending his time with his fiancé and french bulldog Winston.
Although he does not perform anymore, Dr. Pham still enjoys hip hop dancing for fun. He also loves the outdoors, camping, tennis, and snowboarding.
